No experience necessary and fair warning that needle felting can be addictive! In this course, students will be introduced to the art of needle felting and slow stitching, marrying natural textiles to landscape art. Samples of work will be shown as inspiration and to inform the process of choosing colours, texture and composition to illustrate your chosen landscape. Reference photos will be provided, bring your own or use your imagination! Students will choose from supplied materials for their project based on the landscape they have chosen to add to a 12" x 12" base, which can be adapted into a series of small projects.

Learning outcomes: Basic sewing, embroidery stitches and needle felting techniques and use of needle felting tools.  Basic composition and texture awareness.
