Pricing is one of the most difficult decisions for many makers starting out. Learn to identify the real costs of what you make, align with what your market will support and create consistent pricing strategies. Students will also identify challenges and opportunities that will arise when selling across different structures (retail, consignment, wholesale and shows), why you never undercut a retail partner and the pros and cons of putting artwork on sale.

Participants should send a current price list and up to five images of their work to at least 7 days prior to the workshop.

Business to Bruce and Southampton Arts present “The Business of Art”,a free workshop series led by artists, for artists.

Primarily for the entrepreneurial maker community, each module in this six part series supports artists and artisans interested in taking their passion to market, guiding them through creating materials specific to the arts sector, defining their brand, pricing, the logistics of working with retail partners and taking their work on the show circuit.

Workshops can be attended in person or online, with modifications to the online content. To register, please visit
