Lets learn to paint our glorious florals in their natural environment as well as mixed bunches of colourful bouquets. You will learn to create spring and summer floral paintings using an impressionistic and more loosely styled approach to your artwork. Experiment with different techniques and tools as you broaden your horizons using unusual and vibrant colour palettes. Be it floral fields or garden flowers this will be the beginning of a wonderful journey as you step into the world of painting the world around you!
a. Learning to use complementary colours to their best advantage.
b. Adding tools and stencils to enhance your artwork
c. Learning how to loosen up your brushstrokes to create your very own impressionistic paintings
Jacintha's preferred acrylic paint colours are listed below. Please don’t feel obliged to get them all! She likes to use Golden and/or Liquitex brand. Tri Art also works well.
She tends to use heavy body paints as colours are sharper and richer
Bring whatever colours you have - the art of substitution is a lesson in itself!
Cadmium or Naphthol red (for poppies)
cadmium yellow (medium or dark)
Any shade of purple
