- Ana Gribbons
Ana Gribbons was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, grew up in Hamilton, Ontario and now lives in the Toronto area. She studied Art History at the University of Guelph, Fine Art at Concordia University, and painting at Toronto School of Art.
She has worked as a free-lance illustrator and then as a graphic designer for many years with the Ministry of Education.
She has been painting professionally since 2007 and has exhibited in solo and group shows in the Toronto area. Her paintings are in many private collections. Her works are currently carried by Latitude 44 Gallery and Arts on Queen in Toronto.
Ana has been a regular visitor to Southampton for more than 30 years through a family cottage and has developed a deep connection over that time. The area has always been a haven for her and she has formed many bonds of friendship over the decades.
"Capturing an image with light and colour in paint is everything for me. I am drawn to a particular scene by luminous colour, interesting patterns, and certain movements. I strive to show a particular moment in time in our world that is meaningful to me and makes me happy."
