  1. June 29 - July 3, 9:30PM - 11:30AM

This course translates reading into visual imagination and creativity!  Each morning will begin with students listening to a story by a famous author, such as Robert Munsch, Todd Parr, Audrey Penn and Jeremy Tankard.  Inspired by the stories, students will bring the characters and creatures to "life" and create dragons, birds, emotion faces and more! Through these projects children will explore various mediums such as paint, air dry clay, oil pastels and collage in a fun and supportive atmosphere focused on exploration.

Learning Outcome: Children will gain exposure to working with various mediums such as paint, air dry clay, oil pastels, colour pencils etc. They will learn to identify main ideas from the books and illustrate them through 2D and/or 3D art. They will gain special connection to the stories as they bring them to life through their works.
