All of our children’s programming features projects designed and taught by professional artists, ensuring your child has an immersive experience in the creative process with quality, fine art materials within a supportive learning environment.
Jennifer Hayden is a very special part of our School community and this is a very special camp!
Jennifer exemplifies warmth, generosity and a strong belief in the capacity of the arts to empower kids. As an educator, she is a role model and leader...and this camp is her very own version of passing arts leadership learning on to her maturing students! Students will look at how they can use art to help other people and their communities while also learning leadership skills that will be great training for one day being an art camp volunteer!
Get bent! Students explore the wondrous nature of willow construction. They will learn several willow weaving techniques and create a trivet, fish and star while learning how to weave two traditional forms of baskets (frame and stake & strand).
An Outdoor Art Experience!
A beach-fun art experience where kids engage with sand and surf to create. Come beach-comb with us as we make our beach-stone mandalas, papier-mache seagulls, and decorate driftwood ornaments. Kids won't want to miss out on this tidal wave of an art adventure!
Welcome to the fantastical world of Eric Carle. Join us this week in this draw, paint, and sculpt class as we catch the moon, spin webs with spiders and munch our way through a very hungry caterpillar’s feast. With a strong focus on process kids will create multi-layered artworks inspired by some of our classic literary favourites. A colourful and messy week that kids wont want to miss!
Batik is a very old art form involving wax resists and saturated colours to create designs! Children will twist and tie fabric to create patterns, explore colour theory and make wild and wonderful colour combinations to wear, take a nap with as a cool pillowcase...or let your creativity (literal) flag fly!
